Vegan dishes

Dishes that are traditionally served vegan

Traditional deep-fried potato fries. Make sure: to ask if it can be fried separately from the fish

Chips

Navy beans in a tomato sauce on toast. Make sure: no butter is added

Baked Beans on Toast

Baked potato or ‘jacket’ potato, topped with cooked beans in tomato sauce. Make sure: no butter is added

Falafel

Dishes that can be Veganized

Dishes that are not vegan by default, but can be made so, by asking to remove or change part of the ingredients.

Fried potato based patties, made in oil and commonly made with butter. To veganize: ask oil instead of butter to be used

Hash Browns

Traditional English breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, toast and beans. To veganize: ask for no butter, meat or eggs

English Fry Up

Dough base with tomato sauce. cheese and other toppings. To veganize: ask for no cheese or meat

Pizza

Curry stew with spices, vegetables and coconut milk. To veganize: ask for no eggs, butter or meat to be added

Vegetarian Curry

Variations of veg. burgers, served inside a bun with fries or other sides. To veganize: ask for no mayonnaise or cheese

Veggie Burger

Dishes that are not vegan, but appear to be.

Dishes that might look vegan, but contain animal products.

‘Chips’ commonly contains dairy. Depends on flavor

Crisps

Sauce that is usually made with meat stock

Gravy

Commonly made using animal products such as isinglass, gelatin, glycerin or casein

Beer and Wine

Sweet or savory pies are usually made with butter and eggs
