A bit about myself and why I became vegan
My name is Lauren Karl and I have been a vegan for 10 years and have been loving every moment of it. I became a vegan for animal rights since I am a huge animal lover especially dogs! I am finding the vegan movement in London to be very exciting at the moment since there seems to be vegan restaurants popping up every week. I think the world is ready to change for the environment, health, or to stop animal cruelty. I am a performer and personal trainer. Though I live in London I am originally from the Pennsylvania in the States. I played division 1 lacrosse for the University of California Berkeley and after college moved down to LA to pursue acting. While I was in LA I acted in a few movies and did a few voice overs. In London I get the occasional acting job but mainly perform Cabaret in the UK and internationally. I currently have a vegan youtube channel called Just Veganin where I look at different aspects of vegan life.
East London
Vegan Food Tour of East London where we have between 3-4 vegan food stops to try the cuisine while walking the streets of this vibrant artist area. We will go through the history of the area to be able to better understand that food that is there. We will discuss veganism in England while walking past the vibrant street art of this amazing area.
South London - Brixton
Vegan food tour of South London Brixton. Here we will stopping at 3-4 vegan food places. This area has a strong Caribbean influence so we will be trying some veganised variations of course. While in this area filled with vegan food stalls we will go over the history of this area and also speak about veganism in the UK.
