Vegan dishes

Dishes that are traditionally served vegan

Mashed corn with onions, wrapped in corn husk. Make sure: choose the version with no extra fillings and no pork fat used

Dishes that are not vegan by default, but can be made so, by asking to remove or change part of the ingredients.

Rice with a green herbs sauce and cheese added as garnish. To veganize: ask for no cheese to be added

Arroz Verde or arroz con Espinacas

Fried rice with vegetables and eggs. To veganize: ask for no eggs or cheese

Chaufa Vegetariano

Quinoa salad with lettuce, avocado, peas, green beans and cheese or shrimp. To veganize: ask for no cheese or shrimp

Ensalada Mixta

Tapioca puree, usually served with meat. To veganize: ask for no meat

Majado de Yuca

Plantain dish with garlic, onion, peppers and corn and meat To veganize: ask for no meat

Seco de chabelo

Sweet roasted bananas made with butter and filled with cheese. To veganize: ask for no butter and no cheese

Dishes that are not vegan, but appear to be.
