Animals commonly seen in the wild

Marine fauna:

Red snapper, patagonian toothfish, greenback trout, barracudas, eels, nurse sharks.

Birds:

Flamingos, herons, cigua palmeras, parakeets, mockingbirds, swallows, crows, pigeons.

Land mammals:

Rice, mice, ferrets.

Snakes and insects:

Boa snakes, green/rhinoceros iguanas, lizards, geckos.

Common sights you will not like

In the city and
on the road

Open trucks taking animals to slaughter houses. Animal fights are common and include rooster, dog and even Betta fish.

In the
Countryside

Animals such as cows, horses, mules, and donkeys are used for for agriculture/transportation purposes. Tied up animals.

Hunting or poaching:

Hunted is allowed with a permit, although these requirements are not commonly enforced.

Animal fights:

Rooster fighting is common and is watched + gambled on by many. Dog fights and Betta fish fights also occur.

We have not included the treatment of animals in the meat/fur/leather industries, zoos or circuses, animal testing as it unfortunately still happens in most countries.
