Hunting is allowed in certain seasons. Commonly hunted animals are red and roe deer, wild boars, red stags, wolves and some birds such as pigeons, doves, common pheasants, quails, etc. Endangered animals listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine are protected.
Animal fights are illegal. Organizing of bear fights has been banned since 2015.
We have not included the treatment of animals in the meat/fur/leather industries, zoos or circuses, animal testing as it unfortunately still happens in most countries.
