Dishes that are traditionally served vegan

Soybean stew (goulash) made with tomatoes, onions, mustard, garlic and spices. Make sure: broth is not meat

Dishes that can be Veganized

Dishes that are not vegan by default, but can be made so, by asking to remove or change part of the ingredients.

Lentil soup with, carrots, potatoes, onion, cream and spices. To veganize: Ask for no cream or meat broth

Sosovicova Polievka

Cooked cauliflower with breadcrumbs and butter. To veganize: ask to replace any butter with oil

Vareny Karfiol

Broccoli soup made with potatoes, onion and cream. To veganize: ask for no cream or butter

Brokolicova Polievka

A soup made from cabbage, mushrooms, potatoes and dried plums and meat. To veganize: ask for no meat to be used


Potato patties with onions, garlic and egg. To veganize: ask for no egg to be used

Zemiakove Placky

Garlic soup with potatoes and cheese. To veganize: ask for no cheese/butter to be used


Savory pancake filled with cabbage or potato. To veganize: ask for no butter to be used


Dishes that are not vegan, but appear to be.

Dishes that might look vegan, but contain animal products.

Deep fried tofu will contain egg, milk and worcester sauce

Vyprazane Tofu

Round cinnamon pastry, Will contain butter and egg. Vegan versions can be found


Boiled potato and pastry filled with jam and cheese, or meat


Stuffed peppers with rice, will contain egg and meat
