Dishes that are not vegan by default, but can be made so, by asking to remove or change part of the ingredients.

Pasta topped with with sugar, butter and poppy seeds. To veganize: ask for no butter, and check pasta has no eggs

Mashed yellow peas with butter and spices. To veganize: ask for no meat or butter to be added

Hrachova Kase

Cooked barley and mushroom dish. To veganize: ask to replace any butter/lard with oil


Baked sliced eggplant topped with tomatoes and cheese. To veganize: ask for no cheese

Zapeceny Lilek

Cooked lentil stew with spices, usually served with meat and eggs. To veganize: make sure no meat, eggs or lard are used

Cocka na Kyselo

Tomato stew with zucchini onion, sausage and egg. To veganize: ask for no eggs or meat


Dishes that are not vegan, but appear to be.

Dishes that might look vegan, but contain animal products.

Traditional flat bread, will contain eggs and dairy


In many restaurants pizza dough will be made with milk and egg


Salty/ sweet baked wheat bread rolls, usually made with animal fat
